About Mr. David
David Connors was born in Cleveland, OH, and was raised on the music of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. David found his own passion for music in the 90's grunge, alternative, and metal scenes. He began playing guitar in 7th grade after a group guitar class at the end of the year. He received his first guitar at the end of the school year, began taking lessons, and formed his first band in the 8th grade. Around this same time, David began exploring recording music on 2 track Karaoke Machine and continued to develop his interest through college with post-graduate studies in Recording Arts and Technologies which lead to a position managing a local recording studio.
David began teaching music lessons in college and has continued that passion of sharing music for over 20 years. He spent 10 years in North Carolina where he met, married and started a family with a native Michigander. While in NC he continued teaching, playing, recording and touring the Southeastern states with an Americana/Rock band. David moved to Michigan in 2019 with his family. He began teaching at the Oxford School of Music which eventually became Red Piano Music Studio. David continues to play locally and regionally with several musical projects in a variety of genres including Rock, Pop, Country, Punk, Irish/Celtic Traditional, Jazz, Bluegrass, and Modern Worship.
